Ludo van Halderen has been Chairman of the Management Board of Nuon since 1 January 2002. He is responsible for the overall management of the company. He also has responsibility for the following corporate staff departments: Company Secretary, Corporate Legal Affairs, Public Affairs, Human Resource Management, Corporate Communication, Internal Audit, Corporate Development & Strategy, as well as Energy & Water Investments.
Ludo van Halderen has worked in the energy industry since 1970. At the start of his career, he was mainly involved in the production of electricity from gas and coal. In 1986, he was project manager for the merger of the electricity production arms of PGEM, IJsselmij, PEB Friesland and EDG Groningen to form energy company EPON, where he subsequently became Chairman of the Management Board. After the company’s privatisation, he served as Chairman of the Management Board of EPON within Tractabel ege (Electricity & Gas Europe) from 2000 onwards, with responsibility for the operation and development of new electricity and gas companies in Europe.

Doede Vierstra has been a member of the Management Board in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 1 May 2006. He is responsible for the financial management of the company and for the specific control of the Corporate Information Office, ICT, Facility Services and Shared Service Center, as well as for the corporate staff departments Corporate Planning & Control, Treasury & Group Insurance, Corporate Purchasing, Corporate Risk Management and Fiscal Affairs & Subsidies.

Peter Erich has been a member of the Management Board of Nuon since 1 May 2003. He is responsible for the Distribution & Sales the Netherlands segment, for the corporate staff department Corporate Social Responsibility and also for relations with Continuon Netbeheer.
