Customer Council

The Nuon Customer Council promotes the interests of customers and issues advice to Nuon. Nuon sees the Customer Council as an excellent way of involving customers in the quality of its products, services and terms of delivery.

The Customer Council consists of Nuon customers. In 2005 a number of new members joined in response to an invitation in the Nuon Customer Magazine. Nuon wants the Council to reflect a cross-section of the customer base of the Retail Customers Division. In 2006 the Customer Council issued advice on a range of topics, including the following:

  • The formulation of the Consumer & Energy Supplier Code of Conduct 
  • Simplification of the meter readings card
  • Transparency of the new final invoices
  • The design of Nuon internet self-service

Customer Panels – consumers and small business customers

In 2006 the Retail Customers Division once again organised customer panels for consumers and small business customers. In these panel meetings employees and customers engage in changing compositions in dialogues about our service.

In 2006 eight panels were organised on such themes as:

  • Switching suppliers
  • The digital meter – automatic reading and paying
  • The invoicing of fixed-price products
