Commitment

Employees are strongly committed to Nuon. Commitment is measured annually and increased once again in 2006.

The Year Monitor was performed for the third time in 2006 and was filled in by more than 80% of our employees. This annual survey is a development instrument for Nuon and managers within Nuon. It provides insight into such aspects as:

  • The way in which staff perceive their managers;
  • The familiarity with the core priorities and the vision, mission and strategy of Nuon;
  • The commitment to Nuon.

In 2006 staff commitment once again improved from 7.6 to 7.7. That is an exceptionally good score compared with the national average. One continuing point of concern is that employees are not always sure how their work contributes towards the attainment of the objectives of the organisation as a whole or their own division.

In 2006 the magazine Intermediair once again held its Best Employer Survey. Of the 124 organisations that took part, Nuon ended in seventh place. The survey looks at subjects including job content, working atmosphere, work pressure, development opportunities and satisfaction.
