Renewable energy
In 2006 we worked on the further realisation of our renewable energy strategy that was initiated in 2005.
In 2005 new regulations and a stronger focus on our core countries of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium prompted the sale of the wind activities in Spain and India. In 2006 our wind activities in China were also sold. Since 2005 we have concentrated on large-scale production. For this reason, a number of small wind farms were sold in the Netherlands. In line with our strategy, the offshore wind farm at Egmond aan Zee (108 MW) was nearly completed in 2006.
