Other activities comprises the activities of Nuon Germany, Nuon Belgium, other service activities, other foreign participations and the Corporate Center.

Nuon Belgium

Nuon Belgium sells and delivers electricity, gas and energy-related services to consumers and businesses. The customer can choose between ordinary power, green power and gas. In the business market Nuon Belgium delivers gas and power in both high and low voltages. Consumers who opt for ordinary power have the choice between a variable price with Nuon Flex and the security of a fixed price with Nuon Comfort. Nuon Belgium delivers green power under the name Nuon Nature. According to Greenpeace’s independent supplier ranking, Nuon Nature is the greenest energy product available in Flanders. Nuon Nature is 100% generated from renewable inexhaustible sources, such as wind and small-scale hydropower so that the power consumption causes no extra release of CO2 greenhouse gases or nuclear waste. If the consumer opts for Nuon Nature, Nuon supplies green power instead of ordinary power to the electricity grid. The price of Nuon Nature is fixed for the entire duration of the contract and is comparable with the price of ordinary power at a standard supplier. Competitive and stable gas prices are also guaranteed for Nuon Aardgas. To this end, Nuon concludes long-term contracts with gas importers. In addition, both Nuon Comfort and Nuon Aardgas come with the Nuon Besparingsgarantie, a unique guarantee assuring customers they are making genuine savings compared to the prices of standard suppliers.

Nuon Germany

Nuon Germany sells and delivers electricity, gas and energy-related services to consumers and businesses. In addition, Nuon Germany engages in the management and operation of energy-intensive industrial estates and in street lighting activities in German cities. The customer can opt for NuonStrom or Nuon RePrice. NuonStrom is power with a price guarantee for twelve months. With Nuon RePrice, the customer has the security of a fixed price, while retaining the option of adjusting the contract to the current market price for the rest of the term if electricity prices fall. Repricing is permitted once monthly. After each adjustment the contract is valid again for the entire contract duration.
To acquaint the customer with active portfolio management, Nuon offers business customers the opportunity of running a shadow portfolio in order to experience the advantages of structured delivery at first hand. In the business market Nuon Germany supplies power and gas to urban and regional grids. Nuon Index Power gives the customer the advantages of a complete power service at a favourable price. Nuon Germany is also targeting the market for street lighting in German cities. In this connection, Nuon is already responsible for the management of both traffic lighting and street lighting in Berlin.
